Team Xtreme had a great tournament, winning Saturday's games 4-1, 5-1 and starting Sunday morning off with a 1-0 win to reach the finals. After a well played game, Xtreme came up a little short against a very strong Cincinnati Futbol Academy Navy team, losing 3-1.

The Gators came away from Columbus at the weekend as Champions in the Red Division of the Mid-Ohio Select Soccer League tournament. The team beat Mount Vernon, Xtabi and Westerville on the way to the final which was played against Team Ohio Dubliners. One to nil down at half time in the final, the Gators put on a stellar second half performance to win 3 : 1. Nicholas Payne, Hunter Hill and Matt Powney provided the goals in the final, with Peter Keiser leading the assists and total number of tournament goals with 3.
Thanks to all coaches, players, and parents of RVSC for helping to make our club tents a success at Open Cup last weekend. We appreciate all the drinks / snacks provided for the club to share and the extra tents that went up too. We feel the intent to be seen as a club and give everyone a central place to gather, rest and avoid the sun was successful!!

The River Valley Soccer Club under - 9 Girls team "Wave" were victorious as they captured the U-9 Gold Team Division championship with a 3-0-1 record in the Barboursville, WVa at the 2008 West Virginia Open Cup Tournament. They defeated WV Chaos 98-Griggs, 3-1 in the Championship match.

The River Valley Soccer Club team Revolution finished as champions in the Boys U10 Silver Group of the Marietta Soccer Classic Tournament held May 17-18 in Marietta, OH. The team finished with a record of 4 wins and no losses, winning the championship game against the Coshocton Strikers. Goalkeeper Teddy Khabiri held the opposition scoreless through 3 ½ games, allowing zero goals and stopping a penalty kick.
The RVSC '92 Rapids U-15 Boys were Champions at the Longaberger Soccer Shoot Out over Mother's Day weekend.
The River Valley Soccer Club Team “Wave” U-9 girls recently competed in the Mid-American Soccer Classic at Fairfield Cincinnati, Ohio April 12th & 13th. They finished as runners up in the championship match to the Michigan Breakers and ended the tournament with a record of 2-1-1.
