River Valley Soccer Club

The Gators came away from Columbus at the weekend as Champions in the Red Division of the Mid-Ohio Select Soccer League tournament. The team beat Mount Vernon, Xtabi and Westerville on the way to the final which was played against Team Ohio Dubliners. One to nil down at half time in the final, the Gators put on a stellar second half performance to win 3 : 1. Nicholas Payne, Hunter Hill and Matt Powney provided the goals in the final, with Peter Keiser leading the assists and total number of tournament goals with 3. In all 10 players scored for the Gators during the tournament for a total of 15 goals. The miserly defense lead by Tyler Miller and Shannon Wilcox (keeper) let in only 2 goals.

This caps a great season for the team as they also won their division in league play, finishing 9:1:0 despite playing double header games each Saturday.
